When we were preparing to visit this venue I was sceptical: I had thoughts of a brazenly commercial attraction filled with crowds and screaming kids. I was not looking forward to it.
When we arrived at the venue I was impressed with the presentation. We arrived on a clear Spring day blessed with bright blue skies. The colours on the outside of the park (from flower displays and buildings) were vibrant and full of life. Everything was very clean. It was quite refreshing.
When we entered the park, things just got better and better. The colours were everywhere, the buildings were well designed and the themes well organised and integrated. Soon I was swept away by the fantasy and I was immersed in a "world within a world". The entire experience became a vey positive one for me, my wife and our children. It was awesome!
So why is a picture of such brazen commercialism on my blog site? Well, it's a cool picture of a magical place. That aside, it reminds me of how I felt when I was in that park, in that moment. I had regressed to being a child, looking at the world without judgement and seeing everything for the first time, and allowing my emotions to "course through my veins" without restraint. It was a beautiful experience.
I wish I could live every day of this life like I did that particular experience.
