PHOTO: Hofburg Palace, Vienna, Austria
This is a photo of some of the "Hofburg Hercules" statues outside the Hofburg Palace in central Vienna, Austria. It was taken from a vantage point looking Southwards towards the entrance of the St Michael's wing, and it captures the two statues on the right of the entrance (with two more statues on the left, to complete the symmetry).
This photo is not very artistic - it's just a "snapshot". Nevertheless I chose it for this post because it illustrates many things I write about throughout this blog and in my articles and books.
That's me in the photo, standing in front of one of the statues. I'm 6 foot 3 inches in height, so that would make the statues somewhere between 12 to 18 feet tall. This illustrates the scale of the statues and it also echoes the Nephilim (in Genesis, and elsewhere in the Old Testament of the Bible) who arose from the Fallen angelic race and were giants (and from which we humans originate).
The photo also shows doorways, which to me symbolise pathways into the Fallen world. The doorway on the left of the photo is dark, suggesting the darkness that awaits in the world of the Fallen. It's also marked with a "no entry" warning, suggesting that we should stay out of the darkness and remain in the light - the spiritual enlightenment from the ONE. Of course, whether we enter or not is our choice.
The carriage-way in the foreground is very wide, echoing the ease with which we can enter and "play" in the world of the Fallen (Matthew 7: 13-14).
When I worked as an investment banker (in London) in the global syndicated loans arena I did a fair bit of work in Vienna when I represented one of the banks I worked for in multinational negotiations to save a massive corporation from bankruptcy. At that time, I was working as a "whore" (see my articles in this blogsite "Babylon the Great"; "Kings ad Merchants"; and "Poverty and Riches") and basically, unwittingly, selling my soul to the Fallen.
As I look at this photo and think back to that time, I can see how I was unconscious of the spiritual light in me and how my soul was being drawn away from the ONE. Things are very different now as I live consciously in the light of the ONE.
