Anger

There are many things that can stall our search for enlightenment, and by far the most obstructive and even destructive force of darkness is anger.  After happiness, I think anger is the emotion we humans like to feel the most. If we did not like it so much, there would be less of it in the world. If you think my assertion is crazy, then please explain why there is so much hostility and violence in the world, from child abuse, to domestic violence, to racial hatred, to international wars, and even to environmental destruction. We like anger. Anger is commonly seen as an extreme emotional reaction towards someone or something that, in our personal opinion, has deliberately and unfairly obstructed and / or offended us. I believe anger to be ego-centric. Anger is a very personal (and biased) choice to react – from our ego – against what we consider to be unfair and insulting. And what is insult? The Purpose of Being

About 3 years ago, around June of 2020, my journey into enlightenment began. No, I do not have enlightenment. However, I am on a journey into enlightenment. It began with deep consciousness of the soul within me. That consciousness grows deeper every day. I no longer struggle to understand that my being is through my soul. I have recognised that my body and who I think of as “me” – the individual – is nothing more than a material proxy known as human being. I am not that human being; rather “I” (as soul) is trapped inside that human being under the misleading impression that the body, and the ego that drives that body, is “me”. This is the realisation that occurs at the start of the enlightenment journey. The next step in the journey requires me to understand that the soul is not automatically enlightened. In fact, when humans were first created, the soul received “spirit” from the ONE true God, but the soul was made ignorant of its spiritual endowment. That ignorance was “pulled over ...
