The Purpose of Being

About 3 years ago, around June of 2020, my journey into enlightenment began. No, I do not have enlightenment. However, I am on a journey into enlightenment.

It began with deep consciousness of the soul within me. That consciousness grows deeper every day. I no longer struggle to understand that my being is through my soul. I have recognised that my body and who I think of as “me” – the individual – is nothing more than a material proxy known as human being. I am not that human being; rather “I” (as soul) is trapped inside that human being under the misleading impression that the body, and the ego that drives that body, is “me”. This is the realisation that occurs at the start of the enlightenment journey.

The next step in the journey requires me to understand that the soul is not automatically enlightened. In fact, when humans were first created, the soul received “spirit” from the ONE true God, but the soul was made ignorant of its spiritual endowment. That ignorance was “pulled over the human mind” by our Fallen creators – we were made unconscious of the spirit that is instilled within us. This unconsciousness is mentioned in many places, but the most common place accessible to all can be found in Genesis 2:21, which says: “ So Yahweh God made the man fall into a deep sleep”. It was during that “deep sleep” that humans were blocked from accessing the spirit within the soul. When I first began to wrestle with this I became very agitated, and in my search for answers I wrote an entire book on the topic – see my book: Transcendence – a search for meaning and hope.

I continue to wrestle with how the soul can access the spirit. This is very important, for without connecting to the spirit, enlightenment of the soul cannot be attained. This connection to spirit is a challenging part of the journey, but not as difficult as the next step, which is to gain enlightenment of the soul through spiritual connection. I understand the logic of the connection, and the process of finding teachings and wisdom (from ancient writings, and from the universe itself) that will help me unlock the light, but I have yet to understand how the spiritually connected soul receives and integrates the light to achieve enlightenment, and how that enlightenment can be nurtured so that the spiritual soul finds unity with the ONE.

As far as I can understand at this stage in my journey, there are four crucial steps:
1. Soul consciousness
2. Spiritual connection / awakening
3. Receiving light and growing enlightenment
4. Integrating with the ONE

My soul is agitated by how I live in this world of the Fallen while I try to graduate through steps 2 to 4. But let me not get ahead of myself; I need to figure out how to graduate through step 2 before I can go anywhere. That is the challenge I face right now.

Knowing that “I” am soul (not just mere mortal human body) I know that I am different from the Fallen and their eartlhy human creations. Yet I exist – my soul is trapped – in a human body in this human system of the Fallen on earth. How do I live in this system with all of its vanities, distractions, obstacles, traps, and toxins? How do I protect the soul from the poison of this world? How do I become free from this world while I live in it, so that I can transcend it and find enlightenment before I find eternal life?

I must live in this world to die from it, and I must die from this world to live – truly live – in the eternal with the ONE. The absolutely critical piece in all of this is that my death from this world will not bring me life in the eternal UNLESS I find enlightenment in this world before I die from this world.

So, how do I find enlightenment while I live in this dysfunctional world of the Fallen?

That is where my soul currently stands in its journey into light. I must find spiritual connection and awakening so that I can move forward. My intuition tells me that the Fallen will do everything they can to make this difficult for me. The Fallen do not want the soul to find light and to transcend to the ONE. The Fallen want perpetual dominion over their material human creation – they want the soul that enables life in human bodies to be imprisoned in those human bodies forever (through a process of reincarnation). For as long as humans exist, the Fallen can be “God” over their earthly domain as an alternative to heaven. This is the nature of the spiritual war waged by the Fallen against the ONE; humans – or rather the souls that are in them – are used as “pawns” in that war. 

It is human choice in this life that enables souls to go to the ONE true God. Human choice will bring victory for the soul in the war waged by the Fallen. But that choice can only be made if there is soul consciousness, spiritual awakening, enlightenment, and transcendence.

This is my purpose while I live in this world.

It's a Mad World

Recently I enjoyed re-watching one of my favourite films: Groundhog Day (starring Bill Murray). The film is such a joy because it provides a message of optimism and makes us realise that the choice is ours for a life of hope and fulfilled living. The world we live in is increasingly meaningless, and there are many reasons for this, with the major reason – in my opinion – being humanity’s inclination to forget and ignore its spiritual origins. We have arrogantly come to think that everything we have in life is self-determined; that we are masters of our own universe and fate. Babylon the Great

In my book “Transcendence” I talk of Babylon the Great as it is expressed in the ancient sacred texts (in particular, see the Biblical book of Revelation). Babylon the Great is treated through symbolism and refers to the world we live in – the earthly empire of the Fallen. Symbolically, Babylon the Great refers to a famous whore who rides a beast with seven heads and ten horns. At length in my book “Transcendence” I describe and explain this symbolism.
