Babylon the Great
In my book “Transcendence” I talk of Babylon the Great as it is expressed in the ancient sacred texts (in particular, see the Biblical book of Revelation). Babylon the Great is treated through symbolism and refers to the world we live in – the earthly empire of the Fallen.
Symbolically, Babylon the Great refers to a famous whore who rides a beast with seven heads and ten horns. At length in my book “Transcendence” I describe and explain this symbolism. For the purpose of this article, there are three important things to focus on from the symbolism:
1. What is the beast? This is the system of “governance” on the earth, including those who lead that system. The seven heads of the beast represent empires or ages on earth, while the horns represent kingdoms and rulers through those ages.
2. Who is the famous whore? She represents the people of the earth – the wealthy “power brokers” and their followers – who are led by the beast and who ride the beast and keep it going.
3. What does the famous whore do? The symbol of a whore is used because it illustrates how the “power brokers” and their followers offer themselves to the beast in exchange for support, material wealth, and fame from the beast.
The beast and the whore work together – one cannot function without the other.
Moving on from this esoteric symbolism, let’s get real by starting with my diagram below:
The material world we live in (currently restricted to planet Earth) is represented by the triangle in the above diagram. The triangle is the focus point for the beast (with seven heads and ten horns) – we could say it’s the “prize” the beast has its eyes on; the domain over which the beast has power and the place it controls.
The system of control the beast has developed is based on division, because division creates inequality, confusion, competition, and conflict between the “subjects” inhabiting the domain. While the “subjects” are distracted by division, the beast has total control.
In ancient history, the domain was first ruled over by “celestial” kings (this is written in ancient Sumerian texts – see the Sumerian King List) from the Fallen race known as the Anunnaki. Once the Anunnaki created modern humans on earth, a caste of “priests” was appointed amongst those humans, with the highest of those priests being closest to the Anunnaki royal line, and working as the first servants of that line. Gradually, as certain humans were educated and gained favour with the Anunnaki they were appointed as earthly kings, to act as agents on behalf of the Anunnaki (who became the gods, or “God” of humans). The high priests continued to serve earthly kings, and a further line of “holy people” was created, known as “prophets”, to serve and advise earthly kings. Thus the earthly domain of the Anunnaki was established.
As human kingdoms expanded (through conquest; see the Old Testament of the Bible, and elsewhere if you’re willing to look) further division occurred and national governments were formed. From the earliest times of human history through to as recent as the 1970’s CE, governments “ruled” various parts of the earth. From the 1970’s a major change was initiated: corporations took power away from governments and since then have been ruling the world. Corporations direct governments (not vice versa, as is popularly believed) on what to do and how to do it. This is the first layer of “power broking” in our earthly system.
Government by corporations (known as “Corporatocracy”) is now how our world works. This part of the domain is where the biggest illusion of our existence occurs. Humans are taught that people hold the ultimate power because it’s the people who vote governments in to run their countries. This is total rubbish. Governments come in whether the people want them or not, because the corporations that rule the world (through resource hoarding) decide who will “govern” according to the wishes of the Corporatocracy. We are duped into accepting that electoral victory or defeat is decided by the people.
Corporations own the world’s resources and control the flow of “capital” through the global economy. Governments receive a share of global resources and capital wealth based on what they can give to or do for the corporations. A government that helps the Corporatocracy stands to gain more resources and capital wealth and will therefore be able to provide better living conditions for its citizens. Ultimately, the human race is controlled by corporations.
If you think I’m crazy on the preceding point, just think about how humans are influenced and persuaded by corporate “marketing and communications”. Humans dream of, desire, and buy what they are told to dream of, desire, and buy. This is the next layer of “power broking” in our earthly system. The people with the most money – the “wealth hoarders” – have the most buying power. The people with the most wealth in society are the leaders and “rulers” of society – they “own”, influence, and control what all of society wants. They also are frequently the people who keep corporations in business, and who serve on corporate boards and advisory bodies. This is where Nepotism is most alive and well, along with his brother Cronyism, and their mother Narcissism, and father Despotism. And if you think the CEO of your employer or the head of your government is not despotic, challenge them and see what happens.
The “wealth hoarders” in society depend on the “thought leaders” and “labourers” beneath them to sell their ideas, knowledge, and / or labour in exchange for wages from the “wealth hoarders”. The “wealth hoarders” pay the workers for their effort, but claim credit for the fruits of the workers. The entire system is motivated by aspiration: the “labourers” want to be like the “thought leaders” who want to be like the “wealth hoarders” who want to be like their political governors and / or “corporate captains”. All of this is kept in check through wage scales that provide just enough money for each “class” to sustain itself and very, very slowly “upgrade” itself to the next class. Success is rare but lauded as this maintains motivation – people want to be recognised as successful yet rare, not common and part of an indistinguishable social mass.
This brings us to the layer of the masses, where “unskilled” labour and the “untouchables” reside. Unskilled labour is necessary as it enables those higher up on the social ladder to exploit the cheaper labour for a higher “margin”. This margin makes the higher echelons wealthier while keeping the lower ranks in check and without real bargaining power.
Below the “unskilled” are the “untouchables” – those who are so impoverished that they have no attractiveness whatsoever. They have no bargaining power, as they have no skills. They are unattractive because they are unhealthy, unclean, and uncouth by society’s standards. There is no perceived value in this sector, so the higher echelons ignore it, and if they pay any attention to it at all it’s for charitable purposes designed to make the higher echelons look noble: “we help the poor; see how good we are”. It’s all narcissistic mumbo-jumbo at the expense of the needy.
Finally, beneath the “untouchables” resides the layer of the natural environment, especially after it has been raped of all resources that are deemed to have monetary value. It is the layer the higher echelons do not care for at all because, in their opinion, it offers no commercial value or wealth generating opportunity. This is pure ignorance, because without the natural environment which we all depend on there can be no sustainable life on earth. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and pollute all of our water and kill all of our vegetation – see how far that gets us.
Everything we do in this life on earth is driven by the system described above – absolutely everything. When we go to sleep or awaken, what clothing and accessories we wear, what car we drive, where we live and what type of dwelling we live in, what food we eat and where we eat, who we socialise with and where – everything we do, is influenced and driven by the system of the Fallen. No matter which layer of the domain we reside in, as long as we partake in the system we are all instruments of the Fallen; we are nothing more than whores.
This is our reality. Now that we know this, the question is: what do we do about it? Can we do anything? Are we doomed to live like this, or can we transcend the system? This will be the topic of my next blog article.

NOTE: This is a photo of one of the large churches in Amsterdam: the Basilica of Saint Nicholas. This view is from the South-West. I thought the image would be appropriate for this article because, on the face of it, Amsterdam looks quite beautiful. The church, representing how humans perceive and relate to God, looms large in the background, overlooking life as it bustles along in what could be considered a quite routine and boring manner. But that's precisely the point, the church (and God) is in the background - it is an afterthought (if thought of at all). One of the biggest attractions to Amsterdam is that it is a "city of whores" where prostitution is legal and regulated (in one of the largest sex tourism capitals in the world).
