The "Dark Woods" Journey
If the proposition in my book “Transcendence” is correct and we humans are in fact the creation of a fallen race of dark angels, then we are inherently imperfect and prone to dysfunctional and evil behaviours in a dark world. That would explain a lot about our history and how it is riddled with destruction.
However, humanity does not face an inevitable fate of living and dying without hope.
If we are spiritual and we are open to the fact that God has blessed us with the ability to save our souls – by instilling within us the Divine Spirit from God – then we know we have hope.
In the extra-biblical book known as the Apocryphon of John, we are told (and I paraphrase): “as the blessed One (God) did not want the fallen to hold power over the material body of humans, the blessed One showed mercy to the soul that was instilled within humans by the head angel of the fallen. So the blessed One instilled within humanity (via the first created humans) enlightened thought (the Divine / Holy Spirit) to assist humans by restoring them to their fullness and teaching them about the descent of their seed (i.e. that they came from the fallen race) and about the way of ascent (i.e. how to transcend their fallen legacy and unite with the One)”.
God does not directly intervene in our lives by “bringing down the hand of God” to change events in our lives for the better. Jesus Christ is the greatest example of this “restraint” from God. Think of all the challenges, hardship and suffering that Jesus Christ had to face; when did God directly “reach down” into the human life of Jesus and take all the challenge, hardship, and suffering away? It never happened. The miracle of God’s “divine intervention” came after Jesus died in a human way – then Jesus Christ was resurrected – brought back to life body and soul. That happened because Jesus himself – through his own choices and actions – remained pure in soul and spirit throughout his human life. Throughout his life Jesus walked the path of light.
God has instilled within us the Divine Spirit, which will provide us with enlightenment to show us the difference between darkness and light, and reveal the path to follow if we want to enter the light and stay there so that we can find eternal life – life beyond the mortality imposed on us by the fallen (consider Genesis 6: 3). However, it is up to us to personally re-connect with the Divine Spirit instilled within us – we have to awaken to that opportunity for enlightenment. God is not going to do it for us.
Our “fate” is our choice. If we want hope in our life, and we want eternity in light, we have to make the right choices during our living years on earth. It’s a simple choice, but not an easy life, because when we make the choice the fallen will throw every kind of obstacle at us to interfere with our journey on the path of light and to push us back into darkness.

NOTE: I chose this picture because the forest symbolises the world we live in, characterised by dense darkness, which we take for granted. However, as you can see in the picture, there is a way through to the light. We just have to find the right path, then make choices along the way that will keep us in the right direction towards the light we are seeking.
